In collaboration with NASA and Linden Lab, LOOT Interactive will debut their next VR project during The Art Of VR event at Sotheby’s. Visitors to the NASA Apollo Museum can explore, in high-detail, one of mankind’s defining moments, the Apollo 11 mission, in which NASA landed the first human beings on Earth’s Moon. Explore true-to-scale models of the Saturn V rocket, Command Module and the Lunar Module, track the entire mission from launch to re-entry via a Museum-size mission map, and teleport to a recreation of the Apollo 11 moon landing site!  Built with Sansar, Linden Lab’s new social VR platform, The Apollo Museum Experience is a richly immersive and engaging  virtual experience to be explore and enjoy with other people. The museum showcases the full creative potential of social VR for the next generation of museums, storytelling, and educational experiences. The Apollo 11 Museum Experience will launch, alongside with Sansar for PC, Oculus Rift, and HTC VIVE users later this year.

Suzanne Lloyd and LOOT will unveil a preview of the “Harold Lloyd Stereoscopic Museum Experience” in VR featuring a collection of the Hollywood Legend’s 3D photography set in an explorable multi-floor modern museum.  At the Art Of VR event, users can try the upcoming stereoscopic museum experience and also see in real life some Harold’s favorite assets, such as his original Stereo Realistic 3D camera, Oscar and a collection of 3D slides. Until his death in 1971, Harold Lloyd produced over 200,000 3D slides some featuring celebrities of the day such as Marilyn Monroe and breathtaking scenic views from around the world. Until now, the magnificent library of Harold’s 3D photography remains mostly unexposed to the public. This panel will discuss the process and technology used for building this VR-ONLY museum experience.

In addition to Cognition's Apollo moment Brian Pope will be presenting the 3 Palmyra environments (Perpetuity Palmyra), various VR works Cognition did for nonprofit The Arck Project, as well as the Kuksi temple, a collaboration of Kris Kuksi and Cognition, art directed by Brian Pope.
