Want to feel what is like to step on the surface for Mars, Moon and to explore our vast Universe? Join us for a discussion regarding how leading VR companies like LOOT, Time & Discovery create amazing space experiences using VR as a way to immerse users into space exploration.

LOOT Interactive, in partnership with 8i and Time Inc. created the Buzz Aldrin: Cycling Pathways to Mars and, in collaboration with Linden Lab, created NASA’s Apollo Museum which will debut at The Art Of VR.

Visitors to the Apollo Museum can explore, in high-detail, one of mankind’s defining moments, the Apollo 11 mission, in which NASA landed the first human beings on Earth’s Moon. Explore true-to-scale models of the Saturn V rocket, Command Module and the Lunar Module, track the entire mission from launch to re-entry via a Museum-size mission map, and teleport to a recreation of the Apollo 11 moon landing site!  The Apollo 11 Museum Experience will launch, alongside with Sansar for PC, Oculus Rift, and HTC VIVE users later this year.

Jeff Kluger is editor at large for Time Magazine & writer of seven books, including “Apollo 13” and the recently released “Apollo 8 - The Trilling Story Of The First Mission to the Moon”. Jeff also collaborated with LOOT and 8i during the production of Buzz Aldrin: Cycling Pathways to Mars.

Cory Key is Vice President of Interactive for the Discovery Agency, Discovery Communications’ in-house creative agency. In this capacity, he oversees a talented team of designers and developers who work on immersive digital experiences to support Discovery’s wide-ranging programming and drives creative innovation across platforms. On The DayThe Asteroid Struck users can experience the extraordinary journey of the 1908 Tunguska event in VR. Ride with the meteor as it barrels towards Earth and witness the devastating impact as it breaches the Earth’s atmosphere and explodes over Siberia. This ground-breaking VR experience combines breathtaking visuals, immersive educational information and the power of the universe to prove why we love to celebrate Asteroid Day, the global awareness movement that could save the planet from asteroid impacts. The Day The Asteroid Struck hits the Discovery VR app on June 23rd.
